School Specializing in Educating Children Who Learn Differently to Open on August 10
Scottsdale, AZ, June 24, 2009 - Scheduled to open August 10, Lexis Preparatory School (www.lexisprep.com), a provider of customized, high-quality learning experiences for children who learn differently, announced today the location of their facility - 16117 North 76th Street in Scottsdale. The K-8th-grade specialized college-prep school's northern Scottsdale location will provide optimal access to a growing population of children currently underserviced in Maricopa County.
A free-standing building, Lexis Preparatory School features substantial classroom space, individual and small group learning areas critical to academic achievement, outdoor and indoor play areas crucial to social development, and a student union that includes dining area, student meeting area and state-of-the art media center. The school will host an open house on June 30th and July 16th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Head of School, Dana Herzberg, providing tours of the new facility and additional details on the school's unique educational program.
Lexis Preparatory School will support the educational needs of children who benefit from an individualized education approach, such as children with AD/HD, dyslexia and other learning differences. Final approval for this location is contingent on City Council's approval during its July 2nd meeting.
