Kids who learn differently, or have difficulty learning, are just as deserving of quality education as any other child. Rather than turn away from the challenges of processing issues, ADHD, or other learning difficulties, Lexis Prep understands how to reach children who are struggling in school due to these factors.
In educational partnership with Tampa Day School, Lexis Prep offers new hope to parents of children who struggle in a traditional school model due to challenges such as:
- Learning difficulties in reading, writing, or math
- Prior negative school experiences
- Difficulty with organization or study skills
- Inconsistent motivation or achievement
- Dyslexia, ADHD, or ADD
- Social anxiety
Teaching to students with learning challenges does not mean that academics are compromised. Using an interactive, multi-sensory approach, the Lexis curriculum is presented in engaging ways to stimulate a love of learning. Lexis Prep’s base curriculum emphasizes individualized instruction in core subjects and includes science, social studies, physical education, and the arts. Lexis teachers cover the same material as traditional schools, but in ways that students with learning differences can more readily absorb. Supplemental materials have been carefully researched to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles. Classes are small, and students receive individual time with their teachers. Additional supplemental and after-school programs are also available to further address individual needs.
