Lexis Preparatory School provides a college-prep education for students in grades K-8 who learn differently. Modeled upon the highly successful Tampa Day School, Lexis Prep now has two campuses which offer individualized education programs to ensure each child achieves success.
The first Lexis Prep opened in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2009, and was followed the next year by a school in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both campuses offer new hope to parents of children who struggle in a traditional school model due to challenges such as:
- Learning difficulties in reading, writing, or math
- Prior negative school experiences
- Difficulty with organization or study skills
- Inconsistent motivation or achievement
- Dyslexia, ADHD, or ADD
- Social anxiety
The Lexis Prep curriculum utilizes the Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach to engage students in the learning process and build a love of learning. In doing this, Lexis Prep teachers cover the same material as traditional schools, but in ways that students with learning differences can more readily absorb. Class sizes are small so that students receive individual time with teachers and can work toward their individualized education program.
